Interview With Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad style has inspired my closet for many years now. MTV's it girl has shown a great sense of a sophisticated yet edgy style that is relatable for an average girl like myself. The California native has build her own brand and isn't afraid  to take charge of her career.  She has transitioned from "The Hills" reality star to businesswoman  with hopes of expanding  her empire as an author and designer.

Wardrobe Fam:  Who is the real Lauren Conrad?

Lauren: I think what you see is what you get. I am an open book and always have been.
Wardrobe Fam: As we all know fashion is a big part of your lifestyle. When did your love for fashion begin?
Lauren: From when I was a young girl. I would design clothes for my dolls.
Wardrobe Fam: You have definitely inspired my wardrobe over the years. Who or what inspires your wardrobe?
Lauren: It depends on the day and the mood I am in. Sometime I am inspired by my surroundings, sometimes an idea or even a color.
Wardrobe Fam: What are some of your favorite trends for this season?
Lauren: I am loving Toule. It is such a fun and romantic fabric.
Wardrobe Fam: How does it feel to have on of your books on the NY Times Best Sellers List?
Lauren: It is amazing. I wanted to step outside my comfort zone when I began writing these books and to know that my fans have been so supportive is such a wonderful addition.
Wardrobe Fam: How do you handle the media wanting to get involved in your personal life?
Lauren: The media will always want to know more but for the most part they are pretty respectful. Since I came from being on a reality show where my life was exposed I cannot expect them to ask me nothing personal. So it goes with the territory.
Wardrobe Fam: What is the difference between Lauren the reality star and Lauren the author?

Lauren: The books are fiction so the worlds I make up are really for entertainment and shouldn’t be confused with real people.

Wardrobe Fam: What is the next chapter in your life? Any new book deals, fashion lines or television shows in the works?

Lauren: I will continue working on my 2 clothing lines, LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls and Paper Crown as well as starting a new eco friendly bag line with Blue Avocado. I also have 2 more books coming out this October and of course my website. So I keep busy.
Wardrobe Fam: You have accomplished alot at a young age. What keeps you motivated to further your career ventures?
Lauren: I have always been someone who understood that results only come from hard work so I will continue to do all it takes to make sure my various businesses and endeavors are successful
Wardrobe Fam: You have become a role model for young girls from your transition of reality star to business woman. What advice do you give to girls and even young adults that want to break in the fashion and entertainment industry?
Lauren: Do your research, know the industry and keep doing what you believe in.

Kreemo Interview

I was given the opportunity to interview 2 members of he Kreemo design team. Kreemo is an Atlanta based clothing line created by college kids like myself. Check it out....

Interviewee: Desmond Attmore Co Founder/ Marketing Director  & Brian Wright ( B.wrightous ) Founder/CEO

Wardrobe Fam: How long have you been designing?

Brian: I started designing in high school first I would doodle on paper then I took a graphic design class in school were I refined my skills. My other Partner/Cousin (Head Designer) LaVan Wright has been drawing since he was in 5 years old he is the real artist in the group.

Wardrobe Fam: What is the meaning behind the name Kreemo?
Brian: The name Kreemo stems from a psychiatric ward in Queens, NY by the name of Creedmor. It basically means that when you are doing something different or out of the norm people might look at you as crazy. Only when your vision begins to fall in place will they understand.

Wardrobe Fam: At what point in your life did you realize that a clothing line is what you wanted to do?
Brian: I came to this realization around my freshman year in HS. I would always go downtown Manhattan and spend tons of money on BBC/ICECREAM & Bape. And then one day I thought to myself I could come up with something better then this.

Wardrobe Fam:Describe the Kreemo brand in 3 words

Brian: Innovative, universal, Subliminal.

Wardrobe Fam:What is your favorite brand?
Dez: My favorite brand is Kreemo hands down. I look up to other brands like Ralph Lauren, Bape, Original Fake, Supreme & Burberry. We have a lot of favorite bra

Wardrobe Fam: Who or what inspires you the most to create ideas for Kreemo?

Dez: Our inspiration is usually drawn from our surroundings. Something that may be going on in the world around us at the moment. Sometimes it may not be at the moment it we get inspired by old concepts also. It depends on the message we want to get across or how we feel at the time.

Wardrobe Fam:How has your life been affected since Kreemo became popular in Atlanta?
Dez: Now that Kreemo has gained a major presence in Atlanta people have begin to show us more respect & love. Other than that it has opened a lot of doors for great opportunities.

Wardrobe Fam: Word of advice for anyone interested in starting a design team?
Dez: My word of advice would be do a lot of studying on the craft you choose to engage and don’t be afraid to to be outside of the norm. You don’t have to drive in the same lane as everyone else, create your own.
